The Gunawan’s
A family portrait of Bram and Yanti (our groom and bride, on the left) this time with Yanti’s family. I was told Yanti and her sister are both expecting a baby on January 2012. Such an exciting times for the whole family. Two more baby boys certainly will make Naomi (little girl in the middle) the undisputed princess : ) I wish both sisters well in delivering.
Mr. & Mrs. Gouw {30th Wedding Anniversary}
Wedding anniversary is a special occasion. The later it gets, the more special it feels. And I think that’s what Mr. & Mrs. Gouw felt during this photo shoot. Many thanks to Yuli, who arranged the session from Perth. It was very thoughtful of you. Your parents must be very proud! I wish Mr. & Mrs. Gouw many happy days ahead.
90 years of Oma Bin
A portrait that I took on 9 July 2011, on the 90th birthday of Oma Bin, the beloved grandma of my two old friends, Jocelin & Mareen. Looking at her, I think she is really a 90 years young. I wish her good health and many happy years ahead..
The Tumewa’s
Before we started the photo shoot, I just learned that none of Mr. & Mrs. Tumewa’s children live with them in Jakarta. So this was rather a special family occasion for them as the children only stayed in Jakarta for two weeks. It’s interesting for me to watch the different personalities among them, but what I like the most is the Tumewa’s are like best friends to each other. I quote this from Anthony Brandt ‘ Other things may change us, but we start and end with the family.’ I always think a family is the best thing we all could have in this world. Nothing else is more important.
You and I
After all these years, perhaps there are few or many of you who haven’t met Lia in person. She’s been working in a bank for the last three years, so that’s the reason when people meet me at work, they rarely meet Lia. After 7 years of relationship, we will finally tie the knot this weekend, and I have to say that I’ve been looking forward to this day for sometime. By this time next week, we will already become a married couple and get away for our honeymoon. So we hope God bless our future family and be with us till death do us part.
Winarto & Cheryl
I had a little bit of fun last week, shooting Winarto & Cheryl at the studio with all the flying papers and some groovy music. For people who gets up early every morning, and watch Metro Pagi you may already familiar with Cheryl. I first knew Cheryl only about seven months ago and I’m not a morning person. When she told me about her routines, I was pretty impressed. She leaves home about 3 a.m almost every morning and start on air 4.30 a.m then she still have to work in the office until 11 a.m. So just days after we met, when I needed to leave for the airport very early, I switched on the TV with a little bit of curiosity and there she was, facing the camera, bringing the world and local current affair into discussion. I was impressed. Few weeks after I met Cheryl, she introduced me to her fiance, Winarto. It was my first impression to Winarto that made me admire him. He left his car behind and came to my place by ojek because he wanted to avoid the traffic and be on time for our meeting. Such a humble and cool guy. Soon enough I can see few other things which made Cheryl fell for him. For you who like their portrait, there’s no real secret for these beautiful portraits. It’s only because we found chemistry among us. So everything became pretty easy. Now I can’t wait to shoot their wedding day this weekend.
Aaron, Tata + Amelie
The idea of this photo shoot has been there ever since Tata gave birth to Amelie. But everyone knows that a new family is always very busy. Until a week ago, the idea came back and yesterday Aaron & Tata came in with their 5 months old baby Amelie. And what a perfect time to wear the Santa’s cloth! With having Amelie around, Aaron and Tata looked a lot happier. It’s obvious what Amelie means to both of them. So I wish Amelie will make her parents proud one day. I also like to say Happy Mother’s Day and Merry X’mas to everyone ! Have a great holiday!
