The Love of Lukman Sardi’s Life

September 15, 2016 Family

Lukman Sardi is a very familiar name for so many Indonesian, well known for all his appearance and contribution for Indonesian cinema. He inherited his passion for arts from his late father, Indonesian violinist maestro Idris Sardi and also from his grandparents. The numerous awards confirmed his status as one of the best Actors that Indonesia ever had. But perhaps not many of us could see how he likes behind the big screen. So these sessions a few months ago was a special occasion, to meet Lukman Sardi and his lovely family. In the first two sessions, I saw a very happy man who understand how priceless it is to be around his family and spending the time together. The last session, I made a set to emulate a classic movie set in order to make a family portrait that really related with their family life. In the end, I love every single frames from that came out from that day.

Lovely Quiet Days in Singapore

December 14, 2015 Pre-Wedding Portrait

I’ll remember Andrew, because he is my first client who has the same first name as me. It’s a bit weird sometimes when I called him by his name because all these years, it’s always the others who called me with the name Andrew. And it’s also interesting to know another Andrew. But I’m glad to say I really like his personality, I think it’s easy to see why Cindy fell for him. And the same thing goes for Cindy. It was an enjoyable experience together with them in Singapore earlier this year. I was really pleased I could see what made them so fine when they’re together. Another lovely couple who blessed our journey in 2015. And we’ll never forget the Bakut Teh!

November 8, 2013 Pre-Wedding Portrait

This is the first time I met Angie and Dick. They feel so at ease together so I realize it’s going to be another good day in the studio. As the time goes by me and Dick talk about football more than anything else. Angie and Dick just tied the knot last weekend and they really had a blast.

Editorial Concept Engagement Session in Studio

July 10, 2013 Portrait

I welcomed this shoot for Garrett and Sarah with some renewed enthusiasm as they wanted a series of portraits which related to their family roots and also some strong sense of lover scenes. So the challenge I faced was not only how to set up the studio props according to a certain time period but also how to make the lighting work well so it create the right mood for each scenes.

Rolland & Junita

June 22, 2013 Portrait

The distance was a real big problem for them. But they’re holding on to each other dearly. Rolland and Junita finally tied the knot last Sunday. May love always prevail.

Indra & Dian

February 15, 2013 Family

These portraits were made in the last quarter of 2012. It was about a month after Dian’s first son birthday if I’m not mistaken. And since Dian have not made a formal family portrait with Javanese attire, she thought it’s the right time to make one. Apart from that, Dian and Indra tagged along with the idea of making a personal and intimate family pictures. With Stella Rissa helping to prepare the wardrobes, we picked and matched the color for each set of themes. We all know Dian Sastrowardoyo as the Indonesian sweetheart with her mesmerizing performance in our cinema, but what I saw that day was perhaps another side that we hardly ever seen. I saw a woman who really enjoyed her being in the middle of the family, a loving wife and a mother who was deeply in love with her child.
