The Joy of Holding Your Tiny Little Foot

July 21, 2015 Family

It was the end of 2014 on December, a beautiful gift has been given to the lovely couple, Paula and Rubens, where they welcomed Maya into this world. The joyful feeling filled their home and their relatives couldn’t be more ecstatic to welcome a new addition to their family. Maya is so loved already by her parents, especially Rubens’s parents who live in São Paulo that they have to Skype with the little bundle of joy everyday so that Maya will remember her grandma and grandpa who live far away. It’s lovely to see Paula’s motherhood instinct came naturally as Maya arrives in her life and that she is ready to nurture and gives Maya the love she needs.

The Day to Remember

October 23, 2014 Mis·cel·la·ne·ous

20 October 2014, It was truly a remarkable day! Never before the Sudirman Thamrin in Jakarta seen anything like this. That day was the inauguration day of the new president Jokowi and his vice president Jusuf Kalla. Together with four of my colleagues, we went down to the street to shoot what happened on this historic day, where thousand of people gathered at Bundaran HI to see and celebrate the arrival of our new President. I could see from the ground, everyone from the very young one to the old ones were in positive mood despite the usual hot weather at Jakarta. For one moment I thought to myself that we the Indonesian have come so far to be where we are now. We had so many tests in the past that could have destroyed us as a nation. But to see so many people from different backgrounds on the street along with the parades of Indonesian culture from different ethnics gave me a lot of reasons to be optimistic for the future. So when the new president finally arrived, the crowd erupted! Calling and singing his name even louder. President Jokowi represents hope and optimism for many Indonesian. He came from a very humble beginnings. He’s proven that he’s here to serve the people. He stay closely and directly with us ever since he became a public officer. He is one of us. Right after he was declared a victory at the presidential election, he called for number 3 (united Indonesia) and forget about the rivalry between number 1 & number 2. And on his first speech as the president he called for every Indonesian to work hard. Two simple asks from a very simple man if we ever want to become one of the great nations. So the question now is not can he do it? But can we, the Indonesian people do it? A new chapter in our nation’s history has begun. 20 October 2014, is the day to remember.

Vintage Portraits in Soft Color at the Studio

November 8, 2013 Pre-Wedding Portrait

This is the first time I met Angie and Dick. They feel so at ease together so I realize it’s going to be another good day in the studio. As the time goes by me and Dick talk about football more than anything else. Angie and Dick just tied the knot last weekend and they really had a blast.

Nigel Barker in Jakarta

September 30, 2013 Fashion

It excites me to take this assignment for Mobiliari Group, the publisher of Indonesia Tatler who wanted us to shoot this event for them. The event was a welcoming party for Nigel Barker to Jakarta, who was sponsored by Mobiliari Group to do an exclusive photo shoot for Indonesia Tatler and Jetgala magazine. For most people, Nigel Barker was well-known for his appearance as a former judge in America’s Next Top Model. But besides working on TV shows, he is also an author, filmmaker and photographer. The night was hosted by gorgeous Joey Mead King, the Asia’s Next Top Model mentor. It was raining hard a couple of hours before the event started but it didn’t really matter for the crowd who were up for a good party time. You may want to check out the video below! Drink till You Drop, A Joyous Wedding Celebration in Jakarta

August 30, 2013 Weddings

There are different ways how people celebrate their wedding. For David & Anka, they chose the hard way. Their way. And I don’t mean hard as negatives. I saw they were so excited and that made everyone around them feeling as excited. Having just a little sleep and doing early make up didn’t seem to affect Anka’s energy level. Everyone was in a groovy mood, and for me it only means one thing, we’re gonna get some beautiful pictures. Check out the trailer at the end of this post, it’s worth watching twice! Cynthia & Andhika

June 14, 2013 Pre-Wedding Portrait

I’m afraid that I can’t say too much about this couple. I just love the fact Andhika and Cynthia are among the most honest and humble persons I ever met. And it all began during our first meeting, when I accompanied Anne, my manager, who just got out from the hospital, to do the presentation. When we finished the presentation, they’ve been very clear that they would like us to be a part of their wedding. So the rest was practically just small details. I always knew they would make so many perfect frames together. I had real tough times choosing my favorite pictures of them. After all, how can you choose with so many frames like these? Natural love.
